PROJECTS & RESEARCH

FIREARMS DATABASE PROJECT
Spring 2021
For this project, I worked with classmates Mike Morabito and Taylor Lange to create a database for a firearms company. The final product included tables for all products, employees, customers, and transactions, as well as example SQL commands and relevant database diagrams.

NUMERICAL RANGES - HONORS PROJECT
2019-2020
For this research I was selected to do an Honors Project during my senior year at Houghton College. I, along with advisor Rebekah Yates, continued our research into Numerical Ranges. This time, we focused on working toward a complete classification of the numerical ranges of all 3x3 matrices.

FAIRNESS IN MACHINE LEARNING
Summer 2019
For this research I participated in the University of Maryland's REU CAAR program. I worked with Ruochun Wang and Dr. Furong Huang. We worked toward understanding and fixing the problem of bias in machine learning algorithms because the more we rely on algorithms to make decisions for us, the more we must be sure they are fair.

EXPONENTIAL DOMINATION IN DIRECTED GRAPHS
Spring 2018
For this research, I took the Research Seminar course for undergraduates that is offered at Houghton College. I worked with classmate Caleb Lyon and advisor Dr. Rebekah Yates. We explored what exponential domination would mean for specific kinds of directed graphs.
